Fraudulent Requests for Payment Information
Some of our guests have received messages from WhatsApp (or other messaging platforms) requesting guests to “confirm” their reservation or update their payment information. These messages look like they come from Beach Acres Resort and use real reservation details (name, booking reference, and stay dates). Please remember:
- We will never ask you to enter card numbers, banking details, passwords, or verification codes by email, text, WhatsApp, or any other messaging app.
- We will never send a link that requires you to “update payment” in order to keep your reservation.
- Any request for payment information should only be made through our official website or by speaking directly with our reservations team.
- Do not tap the link or button.
- Do not reply or send photos of cards, IDs, or booking documents.
- Delete the message.
- Contact your bank or card issuer right away and ask them to watch the account or replace the card.
- Then call us so we can note it on your reservation.
If you need to review or change your reservation, please use the official confirmation we sent when you booked, call the front desk (1-800-663-7309), or email us at reservations@beachacresresort.com. Do not use contact details from a suspicious message.
We are sorry for the concern this causes. We are working with our property management system provider to investigate the incident, contain it, and reduce the chance of further misuse of guest information.
